In the parish of Couto de Esteves we find one of the small wonders of Sever do Vouga, where water is queen, the Agualva Waterfall.
To contemplate the more than 10 metre-high drop, you'll have to walk about 400 metres upstream from the small bridge over the River Lordelo, following its banks and crossing its waters at certain points along the way.
This is an extremely beautiful natural spot surrounded by leafy vegetation that is home to a number of species of reptiles, amphibians, birds and insects in an enviable habitat.
