PR7 - Agualva Trail

Start and finish - Couto de Cima, next to the parish church.

The route runs along access roads to farmland and villages, following irrigated levadas.

Here too, faith has fuelled the belief in a life beyond the grave, which has led to the construction of numerous shrines and chapels.

The River Lordelo is a constant presence along this route. You can see beautiful waterfalls, especially the one at Agualva, all surrounded by native vegetation.
